# Catering

> Run catering orders with storekit: plan upcoming bookings, prepare and pack food, print item labels, and understand company customers to encourage repeat orders.

Catering brings larger, scheduled orders into your day: an office lunch, a meeting or a group collection. The catering workspace connects what is booked with what your kitchen needs to prepare and your team needs to hand over.

New to catering? Start with [Set Up a Catering Store](/docs/getting-started/store-types/catering-services). storekit enables catering for you; your existing delivery zones, pre-order settings and order limits then apply.

## Run Catering Orders

The lookahead groups upcoming orders by event date. Use it to plan capacity and check deliveries before the day arrives, then give each team the information they need.

| View or document | Who uses it | What it answers |
| - | - | - |
| Lookahead | Manager | What is booked over the coming days? |
| Run sheet | Dispatch coordinator | What leaves when, where is it going, and what needs attention? |
| Prep sheet | Kitchen | How many of each item are needed across the selected orders? |
| Pack list | Packing team | What belongs in this particular order? |
| Item labels | Packing team and recipient | What is this individual item, and which order does it belong to? |

## Grow Catering Sales

A business may have several people placing orders. Company customers bring those bookers and their order history together when they use the same work email domain. That helps you recognise a regular office customer without relying on one person's name.
