# Configure Tissl Orders

> Configure Tissl order mappings, delivery and discount lines, pre-order buffering, service charges, order notes, and dine-in bill handling.

Tissl receives orders from storekit using the selected Site and the mappings configured for that store. Create menu products and modifiers in storekit and link each item with its **POS ID** before sending live orders.

## Order Channels

storekit maps fulfillment methods to these Tissl channels:

## Buffer Pre-orders

Turn on **Buffer orders** to hold delivery and pickup pre-orders in storekit until their preparation time. When the calculated delay is positive, storekit adds deterministic jitter of up to two minutes to spread out dispatch times.

## Configure Order Mappings and Charges

The Tissl settings form groups fields under **Site and order mapping**, **Charges and order details**, and **Order handling**.

| Group | Field | How it is used |

| Site and order mapping | **Site** | Routes this store's orders and loads its Tissl options. |
| Site and order mapping | **Payment type** | Maps storekit payments to a Tissl payment type. |
| Site and order mapping | **Gift card payment type** | Maps gift card and loyalty redemptions; leave empty to use **Payment type**. |
| Site and order mapping | **Course** | Applies the selected course to order items. |
| Site and order mapping | **Order type** | Sets the Tissl order type. |
| Charges and order details | **Service charge type** | The fixed options are **Percentage** and **Fixed amount**. |
| Charges and order details | **Service charge** | Sets the configured service charge for cash orders. |
| Charges and order details | **Delivery fee product ID** | Adds the delivery fee to the order using this Tissl product. |
| Charges and order details | **Delivery fee name** | Not currently sent to Tissl; the delivery-fee line uses **Delivery fee product ID**. |
| Charges and order details | **Order Note Template** | Customises order notes sent to Tissl. |
| Order handling | **Buffer orders** | Delays eligible delivery and pickup pre-orders until preparation time. |
| Order handling | **Integration enabled** | Allows order dispatch for this store. |

For non-cash orders, storekit sends the customer's tip to Tissl as the service charge. When the order is not being added to an existing bill, the payment is also sent using **Payment type**.

## Delivery Fees and Discounts

When an order has a delivery fee, storekit adds a line using **Delivery fee product ID**. For an order with a discount, storekit adds a negative line using a configured discount product. There is no discount product field in the dashboard; contact storekit support to have one configured.

## Add an In-store Order to an Existing Bill

For an in-store order, storekit checks the Tissl table for an open bill. If it finds one, storekit adds the order to that bill.

> Some options have no dashboard control, such as leaving the customer's email off orders, skipping free items, choosing the discount product, and automatically closing bills. Contact storekit support to change them.
