Intelligent POS (iZettle Pro)

iZettle Pro, formerly Intelligent POS, is iZettle’s premium POS offering. The software is primarily for hospitality and we would consider it basic to mid range. That means it includes things like table management and analytics functions. Similar competitors would include Nobly and Goodtill.

Pricing

£39/m per iPad. (It could also discount your payment processing costs if you use iZettle).

What makes it different from Goodtill?

The functionalities are quite similar; but it can be tricky to compare on price as they increment their price in a very different way.

Compatibility

iZettle Pro needs iPads to run, and even bills that way. It will only integrate with iZettle payments – which needs its own card reader to work. All the hardware listed here should work. It can integrate with Xero but not QuickBooks.

Support is available 9-5 on weekdays.

Getting started

iZettle needs its own card reader to work properly but simply download the app to the iPad to start. Depending on the complexity of your bar/restaurant it should take a few hours to set up. iZettle Pro has a 30-day free trial. To get put in touch, email hello@storekit.com.

Pros

Easy to install and simple to use. Card reader makes card payment transactions fast. Payouts are deposited in your account within 1 to 2 working days.

Cons

Other than maybe a high start up cost, if you're a very small business, I don't really have any cons. Every POS system has minor problems but with iZettle they're minimal if any.

Fast delivery, user friendly, small kit does not take up too much space, looks good behind the bar, not used all of the back office yet, still working my through this but seems good enough overall good

Cons

Needs to be better support in regards to the initial set up, give each new customer a point of contact to deal with until up and running

I love iZettle I completely recommend. iZettle Pro is fantastic lots of features and easy to set up , completely customisable, lots of different features. You check sales from home and get complete breakdowns of weekly or monthly sales .

Pros

Checking sales from home, easy to use . Customer support is excellent. Lots of features. You can also link your account with third party programs for example accounting software too.

Cons

The card reader frequently disconnects and then I get calls on my day off asking me how to fix it l. Sometimes it’s straight forward other times I can take upto 20 minutes to reconnect it .

Easiest and cleanest till system I've ever used.

Pros

No training needed to use it. Simple software. Any person that is able to use an iPad will intuitively be able to work with this software. And it has never give us problems.

Cons

It can can get messy really quickly. When setting it up and adding products you will need to be careful where to put them so things make sense. It is easier to do this on the website.

syncing issues between multiple devices, back office not always refreshing, phone app is terrible, Customer Services needs constant chase.
