StoreKit iPad POS Kit

£319.00

TouchBistro

TouchBistro is a mid range hospitality EPOS. That means it includes things like table management and sophisticated reporting functions. Similar competitors would include Goodtill or Lightspeed Hospitality.

Pricing

It starts at £49 per till per month. The price per till drops as you add more tills.

What makes it different?

TouchBistro is a great all-rounder. Lightspeed has more complex functionality in specific attributes; but TouchBistro does everything it does well. If you’re still not sure, feel free to call us.

Compatibility

TouchBistro requires an iPad, and will need a Mac mini-computer for multi-till set-ups. TouchBistro can integrate with the old version of iZettle or (for a price) Square. It integrates with Xero or Quickbooks. All the hardware listed on this page can work.

Service

TouchBistro has 24/7 UK-based customer support (which they pride themselves on – they have won awards.)

Getting started

TouchBistro is fairly simple to set up depending on the complexity of your store. It comes with a 28-day free trial. To get put in touch, email hello@storekit.com.

Great software and very intuitive. A few features that I would add. Has a few glitches.

Pros

Looks smart, easy to use and intuitive. Has clocking in and out feature and the staff can change the view to one of their choice. Customer comment on how slick the iPads look.

Cons

Has a few glitches and has crashed on several occasions. As a UK customer we don't use the tip function on a Daily basis but this can't currently be remove.

Amazing service, easy & great to use

Pros

Being able to access the app & reports from my phone & the functionality of the epos system is very easy. The modifiers and menu is easy to update and the information in reports helps you see best sellers.

Cons

Can’t view dashboard for monthly figures, not being able to edit shifts or some things from the web login and the view of labour/shift reports. Not being able to attach pictures to the menu items or edit menu from the web.

The TouchBistro team are responsive and enthusiastic, though they could do with some more proficient technical processes.

Pros

Easy to set up and use, good reporting functionailities which integrate with our accounting software, customer relations are good and responsive, and the cost. Updates are also easy to install and any issues affecting core functionality are very swiftly handled.

Cons

Certain functionalities are not relevant for our business and this impedes ease of use. TouchBistro would do well to find a way to enhance or create customisations so that users can truly get the best out of the system. Some technical processes could do with a more proficient methodology so that it is easier to deal with third party issues affecting TouchBistro.

Hard sell full of promises and it's downhill from there.

Pros

Support (once you get through) When it works, it works well.

Cons

Support helpline can take hours to get through. The sales team assure you that the software can do things that it can't , just to get the sale. The system has failed on us already and it's only been 3 weeks. The range of the LAN is not very far. The "monitor just for install" is actually needed whenever there is an issue with the equipment (que lugging a monitor, keyboard & monitor out into the restaurant every time there's an issue. Not ideal for pre-orders. Hasn't got the functionality we would like.
