**Nobody chases the bill** Scan, split, tip, go - on their phone, before anyone has to come over. The meal ends on the food, not the wait.

- **Splitting that doesn't hold up the pass** - By item, evenly, or a bit of both - the table sorts it out between themselves.
- **Tips go up, not down** - A clear default prompt on the phone consistently beats a card machine handed over at speed.
- **Reconciles against your EPOS** - Bills pull live from the till and close off against it. No manual matching at the end of service.

- **5x** 5-star Google reviews
- **+5.2%** Total tips
- **7 min** Saved per table
- **#1** Converting checkout

## How it works

1. **Guest scans the bill** - A QR on the table opens their itemised bill. No app, no waiting to catch an eye.
2. **Split and tip** - By item or evenly, on their own phone, at their own pace.
3. **Pay and go** - Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay - and the table is free while they're still saying goodbye.

## What it does

### Splitting that doesn't hold up the pass

Splitting a bill is the worst-designed moment in a restaurant: a card machine passed around a table of eight, a server doing arithmetic out loud, someone paying for the wine they didn't drink. Storekit lets each guest take their own items or an even share and pay from their own phone, at the same time. Nobody waits for the slowest payer and nobody on the floor is doing maths while three other tables want something.

### Tips go up, not down

Floor teams are right to be suspicious of digital payment - badly done, it kills tips. Done properly it lifts them. There is no social pressure of someone standing over the table, no rounding down to end an awkward moment, and the prompt is legible instead of a machine held at an angle. Set your rates and your default; the money goes to the people who worked the shift.

### Reconciles against your EPOS

The reason pay-at-table gets abandoned is rarely the guest experience - it is the end of the night. If payments do not tie back to tickets, someone is reconciling by hand at midnight and every discrepancy is a conversation. Storekit posts each payment against the table and ticket it belongs to in your EPOS, so the close-down is the same as it always was, minus the mystery.

### The round that usually gets missed

The last round is the one nobody asks for. Service is busy, plates are being cleared, and the moment passes - then guests ask for the bill because that is the only interaction left available to them. Putting the bill on their phone changes what happens next: they see the menu again while they are still sitting comfortably, and a meaningful share of tables add something rather than leave.

### No app, no download

Anything a guest has to install at the end of a meal will not happen. The QR opens the bill in the browser, on your brand, in about a second - no account, no password, no app store, no server explaining what to do while another table waits.

### Works alongside the floor

Pay-at-table is not a replacement for service - it is an option that removes the wait for guests who want it gone. Tables that prefer a card machine get a card machine. In practice the mix shifts on its own as guests get used to it, and the floor gets its time back either way.

## The last five minutes decide the review.

Guests forgive a slow starter. What they remember is the end: catching someone's eye, waiting for the machine, doing the maths.

Take the wait out and the meal ends on the food, the room, and the service.

The table is free for the next booking while they're still saying goodbye.

## Questions

### Do guests need an app?

No. The QR opens the bill in their browser - no install, no account, no password.

### Does it work with my EPOS?

Yes. Payments reconcile against the right table and ticket in the till you already run, so close-down doesn't change.

### What happens to tips?

They go to your team. You set the rates and the default prompt; digital prompts typically hold up better than a machine at the table.

### Can guests split the bill?

By item or evenly, each paying their own share from their own phone at the same time.

### Can guests still pay the normal way?

Of course. Pay-at-table runs alongside your floor service - anyone who wants a card machine gets one.
