Livelyhood faced issues with their outdated 'legacy' tech stack, including a clunky QR order & pay solution, a server-based EPOS system, and a hodgepodge of other tech. It was poorly supported, under-utilised and overpriced - a familiar tale for UK pubs. Despite having tried several mobile ordering solutions in the past, Livelyhood didn't have much success. Their existing QR order & pay platform (provided by their EPOS company, a typical mistake) failed to gain traction with customers due to its cumbersome user experience (UX) and deemed unusable by the team due to ongoing technical and reliability issues.
