Random Act of Kindness Day is a day dedicated to doing something nice for others, without expecting anything in return. It's celebrated on February 17th (this Friday).
The idea is to spread positivity and kindness wherever you go. By doing a random act of kindness, you can make someone's day and show them that there are good people in the world.
But what exactly does this mean for hospitality? For restaurants, coffee shops and bars, there’s many different random acts of kindness that you can give this Friday…
- A discount for all customers - give back to your regulars, offer a simple daily discount this Friday for everyone! Tap here to find out how to use discounts on storekit.
- Buy one, give one - for every meal or hot drink that is bought, you could donate the equivalent to a local food bank or charity.
- Pret’s random act of kindness - randomly give out free items to random customers throughout the day. Pret does this all year round, and it has been a great marketing tool for getting their name out there.
- Free meals for healthcare workers and teachers - as we’re all aware, healthcare workers and teachers are under huge financial strain currently. Why not offer free meals this Friday, for those key workers?
- Charitable donation - finally, you could donate a portion of Friday’s sales to a local charity.
If you’re feeling generous this Friday, and you take part in Random Act of Kindness Day - please let us know by tagging us on Instagram! We’d love to see what other ideas you come up with.
