storekit has an MCP server for merchants. Once your assistant is connected, you can ask it about your stores the way you would ask a manager — “how did we do yesterday?”, “which items were snoozed most this week?”, “create a £25 payment link for the deposit” — and it reads or writes the answer through your storekit account.
Beta feature - The storekit AI agent connection is in beta and available from a waitlist. Request access to join it, or email mcp@storekit.com with any questions. Once your account is enabled, sign in from your assistant and it works.

What It Can Do

Two of those are writes: your assistant can create a discount code and create a payment link. Everything else is read-only. See What You Can Ask for worked prompts.

What It Cannot Do

There is no tool for any of the following, so the assistant cannot do them even if asked:
  • Edit menus, prices, availability or opening hours
  • Accept, reject, refund or change an order
  • Change any store, payment or account setting
  • Create or manage users, or see other storekit accounts
For those, use the dashboard. The assistant only ever sees the account you signed in with.

Two Different MCPs

storekit also exposes a customer-facing MCP on every ordering page, so a customer’s own assistant can read a menu and build a basket. That is a separate, public, read-mostly surface and needs no login. This section is about the merchant MCP, which is private to your account. Developers can read about the customer side under Ordering Agents.

Connect Your Assistant

Each guide takes about five minutes and ends with a first question you can ask to confirm it works.
