storekit builds a branded iOS and Android app for your brand: your name, your icon, your colours, published under your own App Store and Google Play accounts. Every storekit app is built on the same foundation, so improvements we make reach your app too.

What the App Contains

A row of tabs across the bottom, up to five of them. Which tabs appear, what they are called and the order they sit in are all set up for your app: Ordering in the app is the same ordering experience customers get on your website, signed in as the customer. Menus, prices, opening hours, delivery and pickup rules and payments are the ones you already manage for your stores — there is no second menu to keep up to date, and a change you make is live in the app straight away. Home and Rewards are made up of blocks: a hero image or carousel, text, buttons, a reward list, a points balance, a progress bar. We can rearrange, add and remove those blocks for you without a new app release.

Loyalty and Accounts

A customer signs in once and the same account carries their orders, loyalty balance and addresses across the app and the web ordering pages. The Rewards tab shows their balance and rewards; the QR screen shows a full-brightness code for a colleague to scan at the till.

Push Notifications

The app asks each customer for permission to send notifications. Order progress notifications — accepted, ready, on the way — go out automatically. Anything else, such as a promotion or a loyalty message, is a campaign sent from your loyalty platform or by the storekit team. Tapping a notification can open a particular screen — a live order, the Rewards tab, a page on your website — using the links described in App Links.

What Changes Without a New Release

The app collects its settings from storekit each time it opens, so most changes reach customers the same day, with no App Store review to wait for:

• Colours, fonts, logo and background video
• Screen content: the Home and Rewards blocks, welcome copy, button labels
• Which tabs are shown, their labels and their order — this is what turns Rewards or Reorder on and off
• Whether the first-run welcome screens are shown
• Store list, menus, prices and opening hours (these come from your normal store settings)

These are built into the app itself, so they need a new version submitting to the App Store and Google Play:

• The app’s name and icon
• The loading screen customers see as the app opens
• The version number shown in the stores
• Your own website domain, if the app opens links on it

If the app cannot reach storekit — a customer on a bad connection, for example — it uses the settings it saved the last time it could, so it never opens blank.
