Time: about five minutes. You need: a storekit login on an account that has been enabled for the AI assistant beta, and a Claude plan that allows custom connectors (Anthropic restricts these to paid plans; check the plan page in Claude if you do not see the option). The same connector works in Claude on the web and in the Claude desktop app, because both share your Claude account’s connectors.

Add the Connector

Open connector settings

In Claude, open Settings and choose Connectors. On the web this is at claude.ai/settings/connectors.

Add a custom connector

Choose Add custom connector. Give it the name storekit and paste the server URL:
Leave the OAuth client fields empty — storekit registers your client automatically. Confirm with Add.

Connect and sign in

Back in the list, the storekit connector shows a Connect option. Choose it.Your browser opens the storekit dashboard. Sign in with your usual storekit email and password if you are not already signed in. You briefly see Connecting your MCP client, please wait… and are then sent back to your assistant.
The assistant is connected to the account of the user who signed in. If you belong to more than one storekit account, it uses your first account. There is no account picker during sign-in.

Turn it on in a chat

Start a new chat. Open the tools menu (the + or sliders icon below the message box) and make sure storekit is enabled. In Claude, connectors are enabled per chat.

Ask Your First Question

Ask your assistant:
The assistant lists your stores by name, with their timezone and currency. If it does, you are connected. Try a second question — “How many orders did we take yesterday?” — then head to What You Can Ask.

Approving Writes

When you ask Claude to create a discount code or a payment link, it asks you to allow the tool before it runs, because storekit marks those two tools as writes. Read the summary it shows — code, amount, stores, expiry — before you allow it. Everything else runs without a prompt once you have allowed the connector.

Disconnecting

In Settings → Connectors, open the storekit connector and choose Remove (or Disconnect to keep the entry but drop the sign-in). Claude forgets its storekit access immediately. See Permissions & Privacy for what storekit keeps.
Claude’s menus are Anthropic’s and change from time to time. If a label here does not match what you see, look for the same idea — a list of connectors with an option to add a custom one by URL.
