Add the Connector

Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and switch on Developer mode. Custom MCP connectors only appear once this is on.

Create the connector
Back on Connectors, choose Create. Fill in:
Leave the client ID and secret empty and tick the acknowledgement that this is a custom connector. Choose Create.

Sign in
ChatGPT sends you to storekit to authorise the connection.Your browser opens the storekit dashboard. Sign in with your usual storekit email and password if you are not already signed in. You briefly see Connecting your MCP client, please wait… and are then sent back to your assistant.
The assistant is connected to the account of the user who signed in. If you belong to more than one storekit account, it uses your first account. There is no account picker during sign-in.

Use it in a chat
In a new chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode and tick storekit. ChatGPT only calls the connector in chats where you have added it.
Ask Your First Question
Ask your assistant:The assistant lists your stores by name, with their timezone and currency. If it does, you are connected. Try a second question — “How many orders did we take yesterday?” — then head to What You Can Ask.
Approving Writes
ChatGPT asks for confirmation before it runs a tool that changes something. The two storekit writes are creating a discount code and creating a payment link. Check the details it shows — code, amount, stores, expiry — before you confirm.Disconnecting
In Settings → Connectors, open the storekit connector and choose Delete. See Permissions & Privacy for what storekit keeps.ChatGPT’s menus are OpenAI’s and change from time to time. If a label here does not match what you see, look for the same idea — a developer-mode list of connectors that you can add to by URL.
