Data warehouse export keeps a continuously updated copy of your storekit data in a warehouse you own. Orders, customers, menu items and payments land as ready-to-query tables, so your analysts and BI tools work against the same data storekit does — without exporting CSVs or polling the API.

How It Works

storekit pushes data to your destination on a recurring schedule. Each sync writes new and changed rows since the previous sync, so tables stay current without a full reload.
  • You own the destination. Data is written into a database or bucket in your own cloud account. storekit never needs read access to anything else in your warehouse.
  • Incremental by default. After the initial backfill of your history, each sync only transfers rows that were created or updated since the last run.
  • Schema managed for you. Tables and columns are created and kept up to date automatically. New fields appear as columns; existing columns are never renamed or dropped without notice.
  • Multi-store accounts sync as one dataset. If your account has several stores, every table carries a store identifier so you can report per store or across the whole group.

What Is Exported

Amounts are exported in minor units (pence, cents) with the currency alongside, matching the storekit API and webhook payloads.
Personal data is included where it is needed to reconcile orders with customers. Treat the exported tables with the same access controls you apply to storekit itself; see the Security Policy for how storekit handles this data on its side.

Supported Destinations

Data can be delivered to the major cloud data warehouses, relational databases and object stores, including:
  • Snowflake
  • Google BigQuery
  • Databricks
  • Amazon Redshift
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • ClickHouse
  • Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage
If your warehouse is not listed, contact our team — additional destinations are added regularly.

Getting Set Up

Data warehouse export is currently enabled by the storekit team rather than switched on from the dashboard. To get started:
1

Tell us your destination

Contact our team with the warehouse or database you use and the region it runs in.
2

Create credentials for storekit

We send you a short guide for your destination. It covers creating a dedicated user or service account with write access to a single schema or bucket, and allow-listing storekit’s IP addresses if your warehouse restricts inbound connections.
3

Share the connection details

We provide a secure way to enter the connection details; do not send credentials over email or live chat.
4

Wait for the initial backfill

Once connected, storekit loads your full order history. Depending on volume this takes from a few minutes to a few hours. After that, syncs run automatically.
When the first sync finishes you will see the tables above in the schema you provided, and each subsequent sync updates them in place. For object-store destinations (S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage) each dataset is written as a folder of files in your bucket instead, with each sync adding new files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Syncs run on a recurring schedule throughout the day rather than in real time. If you need to react to an order the moment it happens — for example to trigger a kitchen workflow — use webhooks instead and keep the warehouse for reporting.
No. The dashboard reports stay as they are. The export is for teams who want to combine storekit data with other sources, build their own dashboards, or keep a long-term archive under their own control.
Data is read from the region your account lives in (see Data Residency) and written directly to your destination. storekit does not keep an additional copy of the exported data.
No. Data warehouse export is one-way, from storekit to your warehouse. To change menus, stock or store settings, use the dashboard or the API.
Failed syncs are retried automatically, and the next successful run picks up from where the last one left off, so no data is skipped. If your credentials are revoked or your warehouse is unreachable for an extended period, we will contact you.
Yes. Pricing depends on your plan and the volume of data synced. Contact our team for a quote for your account.
