alex@northbank.example and sam@northbank.example appear under the same company domain.
Recognition, Not Verification
Where information is available, storekit adds a company name, logo, industry, size and location. If no profile is available, the domain still gives you a way to recognise the business and review its orders. A domain match is a useful clue, not proof that someone works for a company. Shared mailboxes, agencies and subsidiaries can blur the relationship. A business using several domains can appear more than once; a booker using a personal address may not appear under the business at all.Why Some Domains Are Filtered Out
Personal email providers do not identify an employer, so they are excluded from the company list. storekit’s own addresses and your account’s own domain are also filtered out. Having ordered catering before does not exclude a business: repeat catering customers still belong in the list. The filtered-out list explains exclusions when present. The company list is drawn from customers who have ordered from you; it is not a directory of nearby offices or a prospecting search for arbitrary domains. What Matching Does Not Do
- It does not combine every subsidiary or email domain into a verified company account.
- It does not grant marketing consent or automatically enrol bookers in campaigns.
- It does not configure the custom domain used for your storefront.
- It does not replace checking the actual order and contact details before a follow-up.
