Leat lets you offer discounts on the order subtotal, products, categories, or modifiers. Each reward or voucher you want customers to use through storekit needs the required storekit attributes.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:
  • Leat is connected to the relevant storekit store.
  • You have access to manage rewards and vouchers in Leat.
  • The storekit attributes have been created in Leat.
  • Show rewards is enabled in storekit if you want customers to redeem loyalty rewards.
If storekit has already connected your Leat account, start with the steps below.
If you cannot see the storekit attributes in Leat, contact Support to check the setup.

Set Up a Reward or Voucher

Open the reward or voucher

In Leat, create a reward or voucher, or open an existing one that you want customers to use through storekit.

Enable it for storekit

Select Storekit enabled in its attributes. Check that the reward or voucher itself is also active in Leat.

Choose the discount type

Choose the type that matches your offer:For product discounts, decide whether the offer includes paid modifiers and whether it applies to one matching product or all matching products in the basket.See Discount Type Reference for all available types.

Enter the discount value

Enter the percentage or fixed amount for the offer.A percentage discount of 100% can be used for a free item or modifier. Basket discounts apply to the order subtotal.

Add matching IDs where required

For product or category discounts, add the relevant identifiers so storekit can match the discount to the intended menu entries.Contact Support if you are unsure which identifier to use.

Save and test

Save your changes, then test the reward or voucher before making it available to customers.

Example: 50% Off the Order Subtotal

To make a 50% off voucher available through storekit:
  1. Open the voucher in Leat and check that it is active.
  2. Select Storekit enabled.
  3. Set the discount type to basket_percentage.
  4. Set the discount value to 50%.
  5. Save and test the voucher on your storekit ordering page.
A voucher must be active in Leat and enabled for storekit. It also needs the correct storekit discount attributes.

Test the Setup

Use a test customer linked to an email address you can access.
  1. Add the points or voucher needed for your test in Leat.
  2. Sign in to your storekit ordering page using the test customer’s email address.
  3. Add eligible items to the basket and redeem the reward or voucher.
  4. Check that the discount applies to the expected items and amount.
  5. Complete a test order and confirm that redemption works as expected.
For product offers, include paid modifiers and more than one matching product in your test to check how the selected discount behaves.

The storekit attributes are missing

Contact Support to check that the required attributes have been created for your Leat connection.

A reward or voucher is unavailable

Check that:
  • It is active in Leat.
  • Storekit enabled is selected.
  • The discount type and value are configured.
  • The customer has the points or voucher needed for redemption.
  • For loyalty rewards, Show rewards is enabled in storekit and the customer is signed in.

The discount does not apply as expected

Check the discount type, value, and matching IDs. For product discounts, confirm whether the selected type includes paid modifiers and applies to one or all matching products.
