We’re back with our infamous Cheapest Pints on the Tube map (last seen in 2019).
Once again, the storekit team have called and/or visited every single pub, closest to each London tube station (now including the new Elizabeth Line), to find out their cheapest pint. Tastefully displayed on our unique pint-shaped tube map.
What more could you ask for? A map that not only tells you the closest pub to each tube station for a swifty, but also the cheapest pint to order. Ordering a pint has never been easier (well… that’s until storekit comes to a pub near you).
2019 vs 2022
It’s interesting to see how the prices of pints have changed since 2019. Despite the average price of the cheapest pint increasing from £3.91 to £4.47, we’ve actually seen a decrease in the price of the cheapest overall pint!
Thanks to the help of Wetherspoons, the cheapest pint available on London’s tube line has decreased from £1.89 to £1.49. A pint of Ruddles for £1.49 is available at 4 Wetherspoons pubs. We’ll let you find those pubs for yourself on our map…
On the flip side, the most expensive cheapest pint we could find was a shocking £6.50! A £0.95 increase from 2019’s all-time high of £5.55.
Foster’s comes out on top, once again, as the cheapest pint in the most pubs - defending its 2019 title. But the Italians reigned supreme with the most popular pint of them all… Peroni. It looks like their World Cup won’t be as somber after all.
We’ll be posting more fun facts about our findings over the coming weeks. If you find anything interesting, or would like to talk about storekit’s Cheapest Pint on the Tube map on your own channels, please contact [email protected].
