Unless Menu Sync Only is enabled, every new storekit order is queued and sent to Deliverect. Deliverect then sends status and preparation-time updates back to storekit.

How Orders Reach Deliverect

storekit sends the order with:
  • the storekit order code as the display ID
  • the customer’s name, phone number and email
  • the delivery address for delivery orders
  • the requested pickup or delivery time, or the ASAP flag
  • items with PLUs and modifiers, including nested modifiers
  • table information for in-store orders and the number of diners
  • the payment amount and whether it is already paid
  • the delivery fee for delivery orders
  • the service charge, with the tip as a separate field when Split Service Charge and Tip is enabled
  • the discount total and order note
For delivery orders, the courier is set to restaurant.

Order Type Mapping

Deliverect Status Codes

Deliverect sends numeric status codes. storekit updates the order using the following mapping: Codes 120, 121 and 124 mark the order as failed in storekit. The store receives a failure email or notification, and the receipt is printed to the store’s printers. A dispatch failure does not invalidate the customer order in storekit. Deliverect can also send an updated preparation time. storekit uses it to update the order’s estimated time.

Pre-orders And Resending

Scheduled orders can be buffered in storekit when Buffer Orders and Buffer Delay (in minutes) are configured. ASAP orders are never buffered. For the buffering rules and the early-send confirmation, see Connecting Deliverect. On the order page, View in Deliverect opens the order in Deliverect’s dashboard. In the order’s actions menu, Resend order to POS sends an order again when it has no POS receipt. storekit refuses to resend an order already accepted by the POS to avoid duplicates. When you reschedule a pre-order, the reschedule modal includes Reschedule deliverect order. Select it to queue dispatch for the new requested time.

Cancellations And Delivery Updates

Cancelling an order in storekit sends a cancel with status 100 to Deliverect. For delivery orders, Deliverect delivery and courier callbacks update the storekit order’s courier name, ETAs and status. An en-route update appears as Out for delivery, and a dropped-off update appears as Delivered. storekit also sends curbside and customer-arrived updates to Deliverect.

When Dispatch Fails

If Deliverect rejects or cannot receive an order, storekit prints the order to the store’s printers and raises a POS failure notification. The order remains valid in storekit. Resolve the cause, then use Resend order to POS only when the order has no POS receipt.
A customer can have a confirmed order even when dispatch to Deliverect fails. Check the order in storekit and make sure the kitchen receives it before preparing the order.
