For dine-in, storekit needs to know which Comtrex table each storekit table is. You enter the till’s table number in the table’s POS ID; storekit then sends it as the check’s TableNumber on every order placed at that table, and uses it to find the table’s open check for pay at table.
Comtrex does not send its floor plan to storekit. There is no table import or Sync Floorplan for Comtrex — you create areas and tables in storekit and enter each table’s POS ID yourself.

Prerequisites

  • Comtrex connected and Integration Status on
  • Your store set up for order and pay at table — see Dine-in Setup
  • The list of table numbers as they’re configured on the till (ask Zonal or check a till)

Add Tables with POS IDs

1

Open the table plan

Go to Stores → your store → SettingsTables.
2

Add an area

Click + Add area and give it a Name — for example Restaurant or Terrace. Areas are only for grouping in storekit; Comtrex doesn’t see them.
3

Add a table

Under the area click the + Add … button (it reads + Add table, + Add seat and so on, following the table descriptor set on the same Tables page). Fill in Name, Covers and POS ID. For a Comtrex store POS ID is required — the form won’t save without it.+ Generate range creates a numbered run of tables in one go, but it doesn’t set POS IDs — you’ll need to add those afterwards in the grid view (below).
4

Repeat or import

Repeat for every table, or click Import to upload a spreadsheet with Area Name, Table Name, Covers and POS ID columns.
Tables with a POS ID show a POS: 12-style badge in the accordion view. To change a POS ID later, switch to the grid view (the Grid view icon button above the plan), then edit the POS ID column directly — changes save as you leave the cell.
The POS ID must be the table number exactly as the till knows it. If it’s wrong, orders are still sent — the till either opens the check on a different table or rejects it with a table error — and pay at table finds no open bill for the table.

What Happens on an Order at a Table

  1. The guest scans the table’s QR code and orders.
  2. If the guest has already opened the table’s bill in storekit (pay at table), the items are added to that Comtrex check (see Pay at Table).
  3. Otherwise storekit sends a new check with TableNumber set to the table’s POS ID, the configured Sales Type Number, and — depending on Cover Count — the number of diners.
  4. The check appears on the till against that table like any other order.

Cover Counts

If your till reports covers, set Cover Count in the Comtrex settings to Automatic (number of diners) so the guest’s answer to “how many diners?” is passed through, or Fixed value to always send the same number. See Orders → Cover Count.
