Sync the menu
Go to Stores → your store → Settings → Integrations → Toast POS, then click Sync menu in the page header. The sync is queued and runs in the background; you’ll see progress as it imports.
Enable Toast POS must be on and saved — the Sync menu button is disabled otherwise. If the store has no menu yet, the first sync creates one for you.
Choosing Which Toast Menu Your Store Serves
In Menu → Edit, Toast Menus decides which Toast menus the import reads from. Pick one or more menus and only those are imported, combined into your one storekit menu; leave it empty (All menus) and every Toast menu visible to ordering partners is synced. Sync menu re-imports from whichever menus Toast Menus is already set to — it does not change the source. To serve different Toast menus, change Toast Menus first, then sync.1
Get the menus ready in Toast
Update the menus in Toast and make sure every one you plan to select is visible to ordering partners. If any selected menu is hidden from ordering partners or no longer exists in Toast, storekit aborts the sync rather than importing only part of your menu.

Open Menu
Go to Stores → your store → Settings → Integrations → Toast POS, then choose Menu → Edit.

Choose the menus
Open Toast Menus and select each menu you want to serve — for example your lunch menu and your drinks menu. Remove a menu with the × on its tag. Clearing every menu syncs all your Toast menus instead.

Save
After changing Toast Menus, click Save in the save bar at the top of the page.

Re-import the menu
Click Sync menu in the page header, or go to Menus, click Edit on the menu, and click Sync in the Connected to Toast row. Your store serves the new menu as soon as the sync finishes.
How Several Toast Menus Are Combined
- Categories from every selected menu are added to the one storekit menu, in the order Toast lists the menus, not the order you selected them.
- A Toast menu group that appears in more than one selected menu is imported once, in the position of the first menu that contains it.
- When the sync imports a single Toast menu, the storekit menu takes that menu’s name. When it imports several, the storekit menu keeps its current name — a menu created by the first sync is called Toast Menu. Rename it any time under Menus → Edit → Settings → Name.
- There is no setting to keep the selected Toast menus as separate storekit menus. A store serves one storekit menu, and the Toast import writes into it. If you need two separate storekit menus live at the same time, you need two stores — see Managing Multiple Stores.
Showing Each Toast Menu as a Category
By default, the groups in your Toast menus become the top-level categories in storekit, and the Toast menu names don’t appear on your store. Import each Toast menu as a category changes that layout when more than one Toast menu is imported: each Toast menu becomes a top-level category, with its Toast groups as subcategories inside it.
The setting only changes anything when two or more Toast menus are imported — either Toast Menus is left on All menus and the restaurant has several menus, or you selected several. With a single Toast menu, its groups are always the top-level categories.

Open Menu

Set the toggle
Turn Import each Toast menu as a category on or off. It sits under Toast Menus.

Save and sync
Click Save in the save bar at the top of the page, then click Sync menu in the page header. Changing the toggle always rebuilds the categories on the next sync, even if nothing changed in Toast.
Using One Toast Menu Across Multiple Stores
A storekit menu belongs to one store and can’t be shared between stores, but the same Toast menu can be synced into as many stores as you like. Each store connects to Toast and syncs on its own. Managing Menus → For every store that should serve the menu:1
Connect the store to Toast
Follow Connecting Toast for this store: enter the Restaurant GUID, click Connect, turn on Enable Toast POS, then open Orders → Edit to set Alternate payment type and Check discount before clicking Save in the save bar at the top. Set Toast Menus under Menu → Edit if you want specific Toast menus. You don’t need to create a storekit menu first — the first sync creates one if the store has none.

Sync
Click Sync menu in the page header.
What Gets Synced
Only menu content visible to ordering partners in Toast is imported. Items, groups, or menus hidden from ordering partners are skipped. If every selected menu is hidden from ordering partners, storekit aborts the sync rather than wiping your existing menu.
Pricing limitations
Standard and menu-specific prices import correctly. Toast’s size-based and sequence-based pricing can’t be represented as a single price, so those items import at £0 — set the price in storekit, or restructure the item in Toast. Pre-modifier groups are not supported and are skipped during import.Stock & Availability
Toast owns availability on a Toast-synced menu. Mark an item out of stock in Toast (or hide it from ordering partners) and let it sync — do not use the storekit Available toggle or Track Inventory for items on a Toast menu, because the next sync puts them back. Every menu sync — whether you click Sync menu, storekit picks up a publish in Toast, or the scheduled sync runs — rewrites each item from Toast and then reconciles stock from Toast’s inventory:
Toast also pushes stock changes to storekit as they happen, so an item marked out of stock in Toast is unavailable in storekit without waiting for a full sync, and comes back when Toast reports it in stock again.
A timed snooze and Available After are the only storekit-side availability controls a Toast sync leaves alone. Use a timed snooze for a short-notice change you can’t make in Toast — for example a sold-out special mid-shift — and Available After for a scheduled launch date. For anything else, make the change in Toast.
Sync Availability
In Menu → Edit, Sync availability makes your storekit venue go online/offline automatically based on your Toast restaurant availability status.Opening Hours
storekit can import your opening hours from your Toast online ordering schedules.- To keep hours in sync, open Menu → Edit → Show advanced and turn on Sync opening hours.
- To import them once now, click More → Sync opening hours in the page header. This action asks for confirmation.
Hours import from your Toast online ordering schedules. Any day not covered by Toast is added as a closed day, and overnight hours (past midnight) are split across the two days. Syncing hours replaces your existing storekit opening hours.
