Leat enables customers to redeem loyalty rewards, vouchers, and gift cards when placing orders through storekit.
Leat requires a storekit+ subscription.

Capabilities

Loyalty Rewards

Customers can earn and redeem eligible Leat loyalty rewards through storekit.

Vouchers

Leat vouchers can be redeemed through storekit once the integration has been configured.

Gift Card Redemption

Customers can apply Leat gift cards at checkout. The available balance is checked before redemption, and only the amount applied to the order is deducted from the gift card. Any remaining balance stays on the gift card for future use.

Supported Payment Scenarios

Order Payments

Apply gift cards during checkout for delivery, pickup, or dine-in orders

Bill Payments

Use gift cards when settling the bill at pay-at-table venues

Split Payments

When a gift card doesn’t cover the full amount:
  1. The available gift card balance is applied first
  2. The remaining balance is charged to another payment method
If the gift card balance is higher than the order amount, only the amount needed for the order is deducted.

How It Works

  1. Customer enters their Leat gift card code at checkout
  2. storekit checks the available gift card balance
  3. Customer chooses the amount to apply
  4. Leat deducts the selected amount from the gift card
  5. Any remaining balance stays on the gift card for future use

Configuration

Leat must be configured by the storekit team before it can be used.
To connect Leat with storekit:
  1. Log in to your Leat account
  2. Go to Apps → Integrations → Marketplace
  3. Find storekit and click Install
  4. Open the Auth tab and copy your OAuth credentials
  5. Email the OAuth credentials to cs@storekit.com
  6. Add cs@storekit.com as an Admin user on your Leat account
Adding storekit as an Admin allows our Support team to activate and troubleshoot Leat rewards, vouchers, and gift cards. Our Support team will complete the integration setup from there.

Linking Products to Leat Rewards

A Leat reward that applies to specific products (a free bowl, a discounted side) needs to know which storekit products it covers. You enter those codes in Leat, in the storekit PLU field on the reward, separated by commas. storekit matches each code against the first of these product identifiers that is set:
  1. PLU - on menus synced from a POS this is filled in by the sync and holds the POS’s own identifier for the item (for Stream it is the Stream item ID, for Toast the item GUID, for Lightspeed the item SKU).
  2. SKU / PLU - the product field of that name in the menu editor.
  3. POS ID - the product field of that name, shown on Comtrex, Centegra and Tissl menus.
  4. Product ID - the read-only identifier at the bottom of the product’s edit panel. See Product ID.
So on a POS-connected menu the code Leat needs is whatever your POS calls the item, not the storekit Product ID. To find it, open the product in the menu editor and read the PLU field (or SKU / PLU if PLU is not shown).
Switching POS provider, or re-syncing a menu from a different POS, rewrites the PLU on every product with the new POS’s identifiers. Every Leat product reward still pointing at the old codes stops matching: the reward shows in the basket but can’t be redeemed, and nothing tells you or the customer why. Before your first service on the new POS, update the storekit PLU on each reward in Leat with the new codes, or send the list to storekit Support and we’ll do it with you. The same applies whenever a new menu replaces the one the rewards were set up against.
There’s nothing to resync in storekit after you change a reward in Leat. Customers who already have the store open may need to reload the page before the change shows in their basket.

Gift Cards

Leat gift cards must be enabled by the storekit Support team.
Once enabled, a gift card field appears underneath the discount code field at checkout. Customers can enter their Leat gift card code here and apply the available balance to their order.

Balance Enquiry

Customers can check the available balance on their Leat gift card before applying it to an order. Checking the balance does not deduct or reserve any funds.

Refunds

If a Leat gift card payment is refunded or an order fails after redemption, the gift card amount is added back to the card. For split payments, only the amount paid using the Leat gift card is returned to the gift card.
